The patterns formed by light and shadow in and on buildings fascinates me. The less ornamentation, the better. With just a touch of sunlight here and there, walls, windows, corners, and staircases transmute into an abstract and minimalist composition.
Feathers of thousands of colors glimmer in the light. Delicate and strong. Blue, green, bronze, iridescent and mesmerizing tones. Too many to name. A high-pitched call resonates across the woods, giving the bird away well before I can spot him among the branches.
